About Dermal Fillers
What is Dermal Fillers?
The gel is placed at a specific depth in a specific plane to add volume where tissue has been lost or where more projection is wanted. It works on volume, not on movement — which is the opposite of botulinum toxin, and the reason the two address different concerns. The critical safety issue is anatomy: facial blood vessels run in known locations, and injecting filler into or around a vessel can obstruct blood supply. That is why who performs it and where matters far more than which product is used.
