About Botox Injections
What is Botox Injections?
The preparation temporarily reduces the signal from nerve to muscle in the specific small muscles injected. Those muscles relax, and the lines they create when contracting soften. It only works on lines caused by movement — static lines present at rest, from sun damage or volume loss, are a different problem and do not respond. The effect wears off over months as nerve signalling returns, which is why treatment is repeated.
